I. LOVE. DOGS.  I love them! So when families reach out to me and ask to include their pups in photos I answer with an enthusiastic yes! My dogs are part of our family and I completely understand when a family session, isn’t a family session without including your animals. I actually did these sweet little boys newborn photos, and their sweet pup was just as photogenic then and was so calm she even hopped on to the posing bag and cuddled with him for a couple shots.  I fell in love with her sweet nature and was so excited

Motherhood sessions are one of my favorites to capture.  Moms are often the ones behind the camera, so I love having a whole session devoted to photographing a momma’s love for kiddos.  When you have a motherhood session involving little kids, its so important to not only capture the entire scene but coming into their space to really capture not just the details but all the raw emotions in those moments.  I really love to follow the hands, a mom unknowingly playing with her child’s hair, the way her baby reaches for her when breastfeeding, holding tight to her daughter.

he last time I did this family’s photos was when their little boy was in momma’s belly.  So, it has been a while since we last worked together and since then my style has completely changed.  Before I was the photographer who did more posed and “say cheese” shots.  But when I told them I no longer do the stiff poses but am here to capture emotion, their families story in a free and fun candid style photoshoot she was ecstatic.  Trying to get two older kids to sit still and smile at me for an hour not only doesn’t
